First-aid steps (brief, safe, scannable)

  • Knocked-out adult tooth: pick up by the crown only; gently rinse if dirty; reinsert and bite on gauze or keep in milk/cheek; come in ASAP (best within ~30 min).

  • Loose/shifted tooth: don’t force it back; cold compress; soft diet; call us.

  • Chip/crack: save fragments in milk/saline; avoid hard foods.

  • Lost crown/filling: OTC temporary dental cement can help until we see you.

  • Cuts: direct pressure 10–15 min; if bleeding won’t stop, go to urgent care/ER.
